BERNARDI CHAMBER ORCHESTRA AND SHIPLEY ARTS FESTIVAL:
The Bernardi Music Group is currently preparing for a busy 2012 concert season.
The annual annual January 'Festival Friends' party is taking place at Sedgwick Park by kind invitation of John and Clare Davison. In 2012 we have an ever expanding international level Shipley Arts Festival, concerts in honour of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the Cultural Olympiad. We will shortly be announcing partnerships and sponsorships which will greatly enrich the lives of many through music from all backgrounds.
ANDREW BERNARDI:
Andrew has just enjoyed performing to over 120,000 the christmas and New Year as concert violinist in the Royal Albert, Brirmingham Symphony Barbican Concert Hall's and for the RAF at Brise Norton. He is looking forward to performing viennese programms this month in the newly opened G Live. Andrew and the music group are wishing Jon Lord and Anthony Hutchins speedy recoveries.
Gifted and Talented STRING ACADEMY: This hugely successful Youth Music and undergraduate programme has the nextday course on Sunday Jaunary 29th 11-4 at Milais School Horsham. The String Academy has a year round programme of events that are both ground breaking educationally musically and unqiue in terms of eclectic content delivery and self funding set up. The programme is adminsitered by us in partnership with West Sussex Learning and Enrichment, and we are grateful to our informal and formal partners Charterhouse, Windlesham House, and the Yehudi Menuhin School.
The String Academy's 'Mendelssohn Octet' played at Champs Hill raising £5K with other performers from the WS Music Service aid of Chichester Cathedral Fund. The High Sherriff's Concert sold out two month's ago and we are delighted that eight of the UK's most promising young string players were asked to represent String Academy by performing to many of West Sussex's leaders.

Thank you to our parents, pupils, professional musicians, the Yehudi Menuhin School, Windlesham House, West Sussex Gifted and Talented programme and the Festival's audience for making the Shipley Arts Festival 2010 such a success to date. Jon Lord opened the Festival with his music including the highly acclaimed new album 'To Notice Such Things' with Bernardi Music Group, Bruce Martin (flute) and the Festival's West Sussex Gifted and Talented String Academy. Subsequently Shipley Church hosted our highly regarded Chamber Ensemble which included a distinguished performance of J.S.Bach's Brandenburg Concerto no.2. This oustanding work has been mirrored by Malcolm Singer's new work for the 2010 Festival 'The Margraves Dream.' The Music Group has commissioned over twenty new works several of which have entered the mainstream repertory.
In 2009 the Shipley Arts Festival and Bernardi Music Group commissioned Jon Lord (former Deep Purple keyboard player) to write a work as our annual Shipley Arts Festival Commission. We are delighted that 'To Notice such Things' by Jon Lord opened this year's festival and has appeared in the Telegraph here . Jon's new album with 'To Notice Such Things' has also achieved editors choice whilst being voted fourth best 2010 classical release world wide in Gramaphone magazine.
