Thank you to all our many supporters for sharing in the ideal vision of drawing together whole communities with the finest music and musicians.  We have concerts throughout the year in this country and abroad and very much hope to also see you at our celebration of community through International level music making in Shipley Arts Festival.
Our String Academy will be joined by Charterhouse String Orchestra, choreographer Justine Reeve, Head of Strings John Parsons, and sixty young performers for a Sunday 5th September 3 pm Concert at Miallais School as part of the West Sussex Gifted and Talented String Academy programme.   Tickets are free and there is tea on arrival for the concert at 3 pm.  The programme will include Mendelssohn's String Octet, Holsts 'St Paul's Suite' choreographed by Justine Reeve, and Mozart String Quartet K156.   If you would like to join this extraordinary project please fill in the contact form below.

Andrew Bernardi

Thank you to our parents, pupils, professional musicians, Jon Lord, the Yehudi Menuhin School, Windlesham House and the Festival's audience  for making the Shipley Arts Festival 2010 such a success to date.   Jon Lord opened the Festival with his music including the highly acclaimed new album 'To Notice Such Things' with Bernardi Music Group, Bruce Martin (flute) Paul Mann (conductor)  and the Festival's West Sussex Gifted and Talented String Academy.  Subsequently Shipley Church hosted our highly regarded Chamber Ensemble which included a distinguished performance of J.S.Bach's Brandenburg Concerto no.2.  This oustanding work has been mirrored by Malcolm Singer's new work for the 2010 Festival 'The Margraves Dream.'  We shall shortly be posting pictures and press on these hugely successful concerts at the outset of Shipley Arts Festival 2010.

In 2009 the Shipley Arts Festival and Bernardi Music Group commissioned Jon Lord (former Deep Purple keyboard player) to write a work as our annual Shipley Arts Festival Commission. We are delighted that 'To Notice such Things' by Jon Lord opened this year's festival and has appeared in the Telegraph here .  Jon's new album with 'To Notice Such Things' has also achieved editors choice whilst being voted fourth best classical release world wide this year in Gramaphone magazine, whilst Jon has been voted to third best living composer by Classic FM.

We have a very full diary for the year ahead and please do visit Shipley Arts Festival above to see details of the Festival series and enjoy our live recordings too.  If you would like a festival brochure or wish to invite us to play please email via the contact form and we can return a quote within a few hours.
